The request was made as many others, "Will you PLEEEASE take a walk with me and let me photograph you?" To my surprise, she agreed this time! What she felt was going to be a dreadful time together (she has gotten quite tired of my camera :) turned out to be a really fun evening. Often times, people photograph their children on "special years" such as when their child is a newborn baby, or turns one, or is a senior in high school but often times forget to capture all of those years in between.

My cutie turned 13 this year! I can't believe it. I still call her my baby girl and she rolls her eyes :) We decided to take a walk at the Stone Bridge at the Manassas National Battlefield Park.

She is so much fun to be around and makes me laugh so much!

But she also has an inquisitive side that makes her ponder about everything under the sun.

And sometimes she seems so grown up and wise beyond her years.

And other times she still reminds of that rambunctious toddler that climbed everything and would investigate every cabinet or drawer!

And then there are moments when I am so proud of the beautiful young lady that she is becoming that my heart swells. She has a strong will and a good head on her shoulders, she works hard to reach her goals, she's a loyal friend and is kind to the lonely kids, she's a blast to be around, and she calls me her mom and friend. I am so blessed.
